Dr. Chris Col is a rehab chiropractor, mobility specialist, and strength coach helping active people move better, feel better, and perform better — without being told to slow down.

With a background in Olympic weightlifting and varsity soccer, she takes a performance-driven approach to care that goes far beyond quick adjustments. Her treatments blend chiropractic, shockwave therapy, mobility training, DNS-based rehab, breathwork, neuro-based training, and strength integration to address the root cause of pain, not just the symptoms.

In 2021, she founded Move RX to bridge the gap between rehab and performance. Frustrated with short, symptom-focused treatments, she built a clinic centered on strength, movement, and long-term results.

She is also the creator of the STRONG Program, a 90-day hybrid rehab and performance model combining personalized mobility, strength programming, mindset coaching, and hands-on treatment, designed for people who are done with band-aid solutions.

Chris works with strength athletes, postpartum moms, aging golfers, and active adults who refuse to be sidelined by pain.

Stefan Nesci is a chiropractic intern currently completing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. He is excited to be continuing his clinical internship in Kelowna, where he looks forward to gaining hands-on experience and working closely with patients in a community-based setting under the guidance of Dr. Christine Col.

Stefan developed an early appreciation for health and movement through participation in multiple sports, including hockey, basketball, and soccer. Through years of training and competition, he experienced and observed a wide range of sports-related injuries. These experiences sparked a strong interest in understanding injury prevention, rehabilitation, and the role conservative care plays in keeping people active.

While managing his own injuries, Stefan personally experienced the benefits of chiropractic care, which played a meaningful role in his recovery and overall function. In addition, seeing the relief and improved quality of life that chiropractic care can provide for patients further reinforced his decision to pursue this profession. Helping people get out of pain—and supporting and educating them on how to stay out of pain—has become a central motivation in his approach to care.

Throughout his education at UWS, Stefan has received training in patient assessment, manual therapy techniques, rehabilitation exercises, and chiropractic adjusting. He values an evidence-informed approach and believes patient education is a key component of effective care. As a chiropractic intern, Stefan is committed to providing individualized, attentive treatment and helping patients reduce pain, improve function, and return to the activities that matter most to them.

Nick is a current student at the University of Western States in Portland, OR. He recently moved to Kelowna to continue his internship under the guidance of Dr. Col as he pursues his Doctor of Chiropractic.

Nick began his post-secondary education at Trinity Western University, earning a Bachelor of Human Kinetics in Kinesiology. Since beginning the DC program at UWS, he has also obtained his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology.

Nick grew up in an active household as part of a large family of eight kids. He spent much of his time outdoors and grew up enjoying snowboarding, longboarding, mountain biking, and martial arts. He has also valued community involvement throughout his life, spending time volunteering with youth sports at various points throughout high school and university.

Upon beginning university, Nick was recruited to the varsity rugby team. With intense training and physical competition, he experienced multiple injuries himself and witnessed many injuries among his teammates. This was when his passion for understanding the human body and injury rehabilitation began to deepen significantly.

In managing his own injuries with different healthcare practitioners, and observing others to do same, chiropractic care remained central to his recovery. The hours spent receiving treatment, completing rehabilitation exercises, and observing different treatment protocols helped to refine both his understanding of the human body and his passion to pursue chiropractic school.

Since beginning his education at UWS, Nick has continued to observe the benefits of chiropractic care in his own life and in the lives of the patients he has treated thus far. From rehabilitation exercises and workout modifications to soft tissue manipulation and chiropractic adjusting, he aims to identify the most effective treatments to help patients achieve their goals. Nick is committed to helping people get to where they are trying to go by providing care that is practical, meaningful, and helpful.

Melissa has developed treatment tools and tactics to support her patients primarily through exercise and active rehabilitation. She has experience with work, sport and MVA injuries, as well as pelvic floor and core rehabilitation.  Mel makes it a priority to understand each client’s injury, limitations and goals, which in turn helps to develop a treatment plan custom to the client. Often her programming will reflect activities of leisure, occupation or sport. At Move RX, Melissa works synchronously alongside other practitioners to help clients improve their quality of life.

Melissa graduated with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from UBC Okanagan in June 2018. She spent her first year as a Kinesiologist in Prince George working with ICBC, WorkSafe BC and private patients. Additionally, she spent a significant amount of time working with Pelvic Floor Physiotherapists, assisting with both pre- and post-natal pelvic floor remapping and core strengthening. She returned to the Okanagan in 2019 and has continued to optimize her treatments and exercise prescription to get results for her clients.

Melissa grew up playing and trying almost every sport, spending a lot of time competing at a high level in swimming, hockey, and volleyball. She currently plays elite senior women’s hockey and is a National-level hockey official.

Being an athlete herself, Melissa has struggled with biomechanical patterns in sport. Throughout her experiences with therapists as a youth athlete, she developed an interest in analyzing weaknesses, compensations and corrections in the body.

Outside of the clinic, Melissa lives the Okanagan lifestyle. You can find her teaching group fitness, on the lake or hiking with her dog.
